$28 per pieces
I am a fans of pizza, so when I saw the huge poster of Chinese Pizza, I just couldn’t help to buy it. The Chinese name of it is xiāng fēi juǎn香妃卷, which means a food for traditional Chinese court ladies. Therefore, I decided to find out what exactly this food is.
The shop owner cracked the eggs and spread it on a heated pan. After that, she put a large amount of parsley, pickled turnip and “Crisp Crisp” on it. “Crisp Crisp” was the fried bread crumb. In the end, she filled sesames on the roll.
The smell of it was so nice that I couldn’t wait to eat this Chinese pizza. But the owner asked me how many pieces did I want to cut. At that moment, I realized that Chinese pizza was a food for sharing with friends. The Pizza was huge enough to share with 4 people and the owner would packed them into 4 bags individually. The Pizza was so hot and non of us started to eat it. Suddenly, a local lady told us the Chinese pizza tasted the best when it was hot.
It taste exactly like Chongqin Hot and Sour Rice Noodles but without spicy flavor. As I like heavy taste so much, this Chinese pizza 100% fit with my appetite. Actually, you can only find Chinese Pizza in Tai O and in this shop. It was invented by the shop owner of Tai O Food Stall大澳小食.
